More arrests have been made following the capture of a man accused of killing five of his neighbors near Cleveland, Texas, authorities confirm.

“He is behind bars, and he will live his life behind bars," San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said during a news conference on Tuesday night.

U.S. Marshals in the Southern District of Texas said it will be adding $20,000 to the reward for any information leading to Francisco Oropesa's capture. Making the total now $100,000 to find the 38-year-old fugitive from Mexico.

On day 3 of the search for accused mass murderer, 38-year-old Francisco Oropesa, dozens of law enforcement officers from local, state, and federal agencies spent Monday zeroing in on two separate potential sightings of the gunman in Montgomery County.

The manhunt for Francisco Oropesa, 38, continues after he is accused of gunning down five people including an 8-year-old child. Family members who were inside the home share frightening moments that led up to that deadly mass shooting.

"Cleveland Independent School District is heartbroken learning the news concerning the death of one of our students," the district said in part. "At this time, we cannot elaborate with information due to the ongoing investigation of the horrendous tragedy."

Francisco Oropesa, 38, fled after Friday night's shooting that left 5 people dead, including an 8-year-old boy. This after authorities said his neighbors asked him to stop firing off rounds in his yard because they had a baby trying to sleep.

The San Jacinto Co. Sheriff's Office said it started when the victims told their neighbor, who had been drinking, to “stop shooting" in the yard because they had a baby who was trying to sleep.

One middle school teacher with the Cleveland Independent School District was placed on leave following an investigation.

All students at Cleveland ISD must bring a clear backpack to school starting Friday. The last-minute policy change was implemented on Monday after a violent threat was apparently made to a middle school in the district.

A wildlife rescue group responded to a call about a fawn stuck under a home but made an unusual rescue instead.

According to the Cleveland Police Department, Marco Elihu Jacquez, 20, has been charged with capital murder for allegedly killing 29-year-old Jesse Ray Rogers at the Cleveland Municipal Airport.
