Houston Fire Department are performing extinguishing efforts of a building that caught fire near Bellaire where several cars seem to have been damaged.

Houston has been facing extreme heat recently with temperatures soaring to nearly 100 every day and area firefighters have been battling large fires during those high temps.

A Houston firefighter is hospitalized for wounds suffered from battling a fire at a northside home earlier this week. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

Two women were stabbed and taken to area hospitals after argument at Coolwood Oaks Apartments on Tuesday.
