Houston weather: Unsettled weather pattern to take hold across Texas for Memorial Day

It looks like an unsettled weather pattern will take hold across Texas Monday through much of next week, so showers and storms are likely each day. Memorial Day itself looks breezy and humid with scattered showers and a few storms. The rest of next week will bring additional rounds of storms, so stay tuned for updates on the timing and intensity - hopefully nothing too bad.

Houston weather: Heat indexes values to remain near 100 for Thursday

South breezes will return Wednesday, so watch for patchy fog or drizzle followed by more highs in the low to mid 90s and heat index values near 100. Isolated showers are possible through the weekend. Also, keep in mind that ozone levels will remain elevated Thursday and an Air Quality Alert has been extended through Thursday evening. If you have respiratory issues, you may want to limit your amount of time outdoors.

A front will move in to the area Tuesday afternoon and will bring a shift in our winds and should spark a few storms. The highest chance for stronger storms will be east and northeast of Houston, but an isolated storms is possible across the area.
