Montgomery County is reporting a third presumptive positive case of COVID-19 just hours after reporting a second case, bringing the greater Houston area total to 17.

The Houston Health Department says the COVID-19 patient was not symptomatic during her visit to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and there is a low risk to attendees

Harris County Public Health Department announces a sixth Coronavirus COVID-19 case outside the City of Houston. This is the 4th presumptive positive case for the county.

Patton Village Mayor Scott Anderson says the male patient has been off-duty since before his Coronavirus diagnosis, therefore, virus exposure to other officers is low risk. The patient had limited exposure to the police station and none with City Hall.

Some Houston-area dress shops say they're experiencing delays as many Chinese plants that make the dresses shut down to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Montgomery County is under a declaration of local disaster for the next 30 days. The order limits gatherings at public buildings and county employee travel.

There are currently 16 COVID-19 cases in the greater Houston area, six of them are in Fort Bend County.

The University of St. Thomas is one of several local universities that have canceled classes in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Cash payments will no longer be accepted at Harris County toll booths to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and cash customers should drive through and pay later online.
