We're likely in for one more day with scattered late-day downpours and a chance for some isolated street flooding. The timing looks to be mostly after 3 p.m. and could continue through 8 p.m. or so. Beyond today, rain coverage goes down and temps go up with highs near 90 to wrap up the week.

Houston weather: Spotty showers Tuesday could lead to more flooding problems
Our stormy, unsettled weather pattern continues for a few more days. Severe storms are not likely but storms that produce heavy rain will still have a higher risk of causing more flooding issues. With all of the recent rain we've had over the last week, it won't take much additional rain to cause more flooding problems. Many creeks, rivers & bayous are at or near flood stage so be careful while walking or driving and avoid any flooded areas! Look for a 40% chance for more spotty storms Tuesday afternoon with even lower rain chances Wednesday. The trend Thursday and Friday will be for hotter and drier weather to prevail with temperatures near 90 and only a 10% chance for rain. The Flood Watch has been expanded east to now include Montgomery, Harris and Galveston counties amongst others through 7 p.m. The work week starts drier, but warmer with only isolated rain expected Monday. A slow moving front looks to maybe make it to the coast midweek and stall once again boosting our rain chances.
