Houston weather: Spotty storms possible tonight, Tuesday
Our stormy, unsettled weather pattern continues for a few more days. Severe storms are not likely but storms that produce heavy rain will still have a higher risk of causing more flooding issues. With all of the recent rain we've had over the last week, it won't take much additional rain to cause more flooding problems. Many creeks, rivers & bayous are at or near flood stage so be careful while walking or driving and avoid any flooded areas! We are still in a slight risk for excessive rain that could lead to flooding through this evening. Most of the rain should fade by 9 PM as we lose the heating of the day. Look for a 40% chance for more spotty storms Tuesday afternoon with even lower rain chances Wednesday. The trend Thursday and Friday will be for hotter and drier weather to prevail with temperatures near 90 and only a 10% chance for rain. Rain chances get bumped back up this weekend to 30% with the warm & sticky weather continuing. Make sure to download our FOX 26 WX APP to always stay up to date on the latest weather alerts!
