Get ready for a hot, humid and breezy week ahead. There is a chance for a few strong storms today with the highest risk north of Houston late today and tonight. There is also a slight chance for storms early Tuesday. Beyond that, look for daily high temperatures in the low to mid 90s with a heat index values of 100-105. Overnight low temps will struggle to get below the upper 70s. In the tropics, this will be the first full week of hurricane season and so far everything is quiet.

A Houston woman is caring for both her son and mother who suffered severe burns due to downed powerlines from the destructive storm on Tuesday and were admitted to intensive care units. FOX 26's Jonathan Mejia reports more on the story after speaking with family.
