FOX 26 meteorologist Allison Gargaro takes a look at your weekend forecast and what to expect the rest of the week.

Average highs for this time of the year are in the low 80s, but our actual afternoon temperatures will stay above average by about 5-7 degrees this weekend through at least Tuesday with only isolated showers.

A few late-day storms are possible early Friday, especially north and west of the Houston area. FOX 26's Remeisha Shade gives the full weather rundown for the weekend.

Friday morning there's patchy fog and mist, but the afternoon will become partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon storms. Temperature highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Afternoon highs will rise from the mid 80s Thursday to near 90 this weekend. The nice part is that both Saturday and Sunday look mostly sunny. Don't forget sunscreen because the late April sun is equal in intensity to the late August sun. As temperatures heat up this weekend, rain chances go all the way down to 10%. This means plenty of dry time for your beach and pool plans.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 8 PM that includes Grimes, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk and Trinity counties.

It's a misty and humid Thursday morning in the 70s with a chance for mid-morning rain. As we get later into the afternoon, temperature highs reach the mid 80s.

Thursday and Friday will still bring the chance for afternoon pop-up storms, but also warmer highs in the mid 80s. This weekend, chances for rain are much lower, so expect sunshine and hot temps in the upper 80s.
