FOX 26 Monday evening weather forecast

Get ready for another very hot week in Houston, but with a few changes possible. A summer cold front slides into southeast Texas early Tuesday leading to a few showers in the afternoon. Areas to the north will especially notice lower humidity on Wednesday morning. Looks like a break to the overall pattern comes over the weekend with high pressure lessening its grip and allowing for a few more rain opportunities.

FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast

Our forecast still looks very hot all this week, but with a few changes to watch. A summer cold front will drop down into our area, so there is a very slight chance for a storm today and a better chance for a few storms tomorrow. Most likely, you'll notice a big drop in humidity north of Houston with storms possible closer to the coast. Overall, the week will continue our long heat wave.

You guessed it: more heat, and more heat alerts but at least we've got some rain chances that aren't zero! While we look to remain hot and mostly dry through Saturday, next week could offer better rain chances and daytime highs look to finally fall below 100. Nothing in the Atlantic, but the Pacific is busy with newly named Tropical Storm Fernanda.
