Highs on Monday and Tuesday hit the mid 80s which broke daily records from the 1950s. Record highs for Wednesday are 83 in Houston and 75 for Galveston, so we'll likely get very close. Otherwise, look for a few light showers, slightly more wind and highs again in the low 80s.

Areas of dense fog will be likely Wednesday morning with the thickest fog around the coast. Remember to slow down, increase the distance between other vehicles around you and use your low beam headlights. After the fog lifts, temperatures will once again likely soar to the low 80s during the afternoon with partly sunny skies and a stray shower possible.

It's forecasted to be very warm on Tuesday with Houston's record high smashed on Monday. The previous record was 80? and we hit 83?. Likewise, Galveston's high of 76 degrees broke the previous record of 75 degrees. We will probably end up tying or breaking more records with a muggy flow of south breezes remaining in place.

This week, the Houston area will experience unseasonably warm temperatures, with highs ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s. Morning fog is anticipated each day, gradually giving way to partly sunny or mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Be careful during the morning commute each day due to reduced visibility from the fog.
