What we know:

The newly released body camera video sheds more light on the officer-involved shooting that happened last week.

Sources told FOX 4 that police had been trying to serve a warrant for impersonating a law enforcement officer. The violent confrontation ended with the death of the suspect, who was known to many as Mike King.

King was a longtime security guard for Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. He also owned a company called Off Duty Police Services and hired Dallas police officers at times to work part-time jobs.

Sources tell FOX 4 the man shot and killed by Dallas Police on Thursday was a longtime security guard for Jasmine Crockett.

But he reportedly was not who he claimed to be. His legal name was Diamon Robinson.

According to court records, Robinson had a criminal history that included multiple arrests for theft, a probation violation, and tampering with a government record. He had an active warrant for theft of checks at a hotel where he worked security in the past.

What we don't know:

It’s not yet clear how Robinson was able to get a security license, if he had one. It’s also unclear who, if anyone, vetted his credentials.
