Tropical Weather Forecast: Watching Dexter, keeping an eye out for other possible development
Tropical Storm Dexter has not become any stronger and continues to be a non-issue in the Atlantic. It will continue moving away from the East Coast and move into the North Atlantic away from land. Elsewhere, a tropical wave will move off the west coast of Africa over the next day or two and could get organized in the central Atlantic Ocean and models are mixed as to whether it will be a threat to US - it's very far away, so we'll keep an eye on it. One other area near South Carolina has a chance of becoming a weak tropical system late this week, but it will not have any effects on Texas.

An area of low pressure was upgraded to Tropical Storm Dexter on Sunday and will be a complete non-factor in the forecast for the US. It will pass to the north of Bermuda. Elsewhere a tropical wave over Africa will move into the eastern Atlantic this week and has a good chance to become a tropical storm by late this week, but it is extremely far from Texas. It's also possible that a tropical storm could form late this week from some lingering rain near the Carolinas, It would have no effect on Texas.

Miller says although there was pain, he and others found joy in the people they met to came together to help. Showers and thunderstorms have increased in association with a non-tropical area of low pressure located a few hundred miles east of the North Carolina coast. That National Hurricane Center has now labeled this system as Invest 95L and it looks likely with will develop into our next tropical cyclone. There are 2 other areas being watched in the Atlantic Basin at this time.
