Will scandals keep people away from the church?

Just last week, a Catholic priest in the Houston area was arrested for sexual misconduct involving two young people. Manuel Manuel La Rosa-Lopez was booked into jail and suspended from the Catholic Church where he works.

This was after a much highly publicized case out of Pennsylvania where 300 priests were accused of abusing 1,000 children over a 70 year period.

The question is, will the ongoing Catholic Church scandal hurt religion in general? Will it drive down the number of people who walk into the house of lord to worship?

On the Factor to discuss this is U.S. Pastor Council President Dave Welch and Pastor Alan Lamar Patterson from Mount Corinth Church.
