Sketch released of suspect in sexual assaults of taco truck employees

The Houston Police Department has released a composite sketch of a suspect in two separate sexual assault incidents on the east side of Houston.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 30s or early 40s who stands at a height of around 6-feet 2-inches tall with a thin build. He has a distinctive scar on his left cheek.

The suspect most recently was seen with a beard and mustache, medium dark wavy hair, and was wearing a baseball cap during both incidents. He is also known to speak Spanish.

The first incident was reported in the 4300 block of Telephone Road at around 3:25 a.m. on April 3.  The suspect, who carried a pistol, forced two women to open the taco truck and allow him inside. Once inside, he threatened the two women and sexually assaulted one of them before he ran away from the vehicle.

The second incident was reported in the 6800 block of Griggs at around 5:55 a.m. on July 7. The suspect had carried a pistol and forced one of the women, who was outside of the taco truck at the time, to let him inside the vehicle. Once inside, he sexually assaulted three female employees, took an undisclosed amount of cash, and then ran away.

Investigators believe the suspect may be the same in both incidents.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact the HPD Special Victims Division by phone at 713-308-1100.
