Mayor Sylvester Turner announced an aggressive plan to get Kush out of Herman Park, Wednesday, calling the crisis an epidemic, after 16 people were rushed to the hospital just last week.

Down the street, the heart of the epidemic. A raw episode on the corner of Main And Wheeler, known by the folks on that block as Kush Station.

"I'm full of Kush right now. I need help," said one man. He told us that he can't read or write. He says he hasn't been able to get a job and uses Kush to get his mind off his struggle.

With the Mayor's announcement of adding over 175 police officers to help keep Kush off the streets, many say it will only annihilate the homeless further and make them susceptible to harassment from law enforcement.
