Flights canceled in Houston because of Atlanta airport power outage

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - On a normal Sunday night, the lines at the departure desks and kiosks at Bush Intercontinental Airport can be long, but not quite like Sunday night's line.

"They are saying there's a power outage in Atlanta and that all flights are canceled today and for possibly tomorrow," says Eric Hicks, who was trying to fly through Atlanta with his wife when he saw his flight was canceled.

"It's a big airport, lots of people, I can't even imagine what it's like in Atlanta right now," says Matthew Hrdlicka, who is trying to get back to Des Moines.

Hicks also added, "hopefully we can get back open and that everyone will get home safe for the holidays."
