FEMA offering free home rebuilding tips at Harris County hardware stores
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (FOX 26) - FEMA and home improvement stores in Harris County are teaming up to provide homeowners who are rebuilding or repairing their Harvey-damaged home with free information on how to make their homes stronger and safer against future disasters.
FEMA mitigation specialists will be on location at three hardware store locations in Houston from Monday, January 8, to Saturday, January, 13, to offer tips and answer question about rebuilding hazard-resistant homes with techniques that will reduce damage from future disasters.
Topics to be discussed include flood insurance, elevating utilities and rebuilding flooded homes.
