Dog found with severe injuries from electrical tape wrapped around muzzle

The little two tone dog doesn’t want to get out of the back of the car. She has to be helped  out.  She's a little skittish, but sweet as can be.

"She's got a great personality with everything we've done to her she's never tried to bite or nap or growl," says Joyce Davis.

Even more remarkable considering what some abuser did to her. Someone found her wandering on a stretch of Old Texaco Camp Road on June 9 with electrical tape holding her little muzzle shut.  She's with a group called SAFE House Rescue now. Davis says her wounds were horrific.

"All of her nasal bones were exposed, there was no tissue covering them. She has a hole in her sinus cavity," Davis said.

You don't really need to hear the rest. It’s bad. Much of the damage came when they peeled off the tape.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is not taking this abuse lightly.

"I've always looked at these cases, and the Sheriff has too, that anyone who would do this to a dog, what would they do to a human being. And that's why we need to talk to someone and try to find out what they're up to," said Capt. Bryan Carlisle.

Now named "Justice" this sweet little girl has months of recovery and expensive medical treatments ahead of her. When she's ready to be adopted, her new owner will be thoroughly screened, but in the meantime the hope is that Justice's abuser will get the justice many believe they deserve.
