Bridging police & young minority students

The lack of respect between young minorities and law enforcement officers could lead to a volatile encounter. A study by BMJ journal Injury Prevention suggests blacks and Latinos, especially males, are more likely to be stopped by law enforcement officers and questioned. The report also says those stops and interrogations could lead to serious injury and or even death. That's why the leadership at Worthing High School in Houston is trying to forge a bond with the community, young minorities and law enforcement officers.
