Bicyclist killed in hit and run accident

HOUSTON (FOX26) - A bicyclist is dead after he was hit by a driver who took off in east Harris county.

 Deputies say last night the man was riding his bike in the middle of the road on 17000 Beaumont Highway.

 A driver hit the man, stopped to see who was hit and took off in a suburban-type truck.

 The bicyclist was brought to the hospital where he later died.
