7 San Antonio police officers injured in shooting: police chief
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Seven police officers were injured in a San Antonio officer-involved shooting on Wednesday night.

What we know:
According to San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the police officers were shot after responding to a "suicide in progress" call near Stone Oak Pkwy and Loop 1604.
Police say the suspect, Brandon Scott Poulos, barricaded himself inside an apartment for several hours. The suspect was later found dead.

The first four officers had non-life threatening injuries. the other three were hit with shrapnel and treated at a hospital.
Several residents in the area were forced to evacuate the area for safety reasons.
What we don't know:
Chief McManus said the injuries to the officers are not life-threatening.
The names of the seven officers have not been released.

Chief McManus says the suspect, Brandon Scott Poulos, had three arrests on Jan.18, two for assault and one for driving while intoxicated.
He was out on bond at the time of the shooting.
What we don't know:
Chief McManus says it is not clear if the suspect was shot and killed by SWAT officers or if the shooting was self-inflicted.
