Tropical Weather Update - July 10, 2025

The Gulf and Caribbean are still whisper quiet with little to no stormy weather and a continuing flow of Saharan dust. Part of that dust could be noticeable in our sky today. We have had 3 named storms so far this season and hurricane season runs through the end of November.

It's going to be mostly cloudy Thursday with scattered afternoon storms. The rain is expected to be a less widespread for today. Warm and humid conditions continue with highs in the 90s.

Houston weather: Spotty rain possible for Thursday

Summer downpours are winding down in the greater Houston area but are likely to return on Thursday. Downpours are expected to be a bit less widespread. Individual storms could drop a quick 1-3" of rain. Widespread flooding is not expected, but isolated street flooding is possible. Please be careful and avoid any flooded areas. Late this week, the coverage of rain will decrease Friday but scattered storms move back in this weekend.
