We are getting a break from the heavy rain and storms with much of the area picking up 2-10" of rain over the last 7-8 days. So enjoy the break but be careful in the dangerous heat! Heat advisories are not expected but afternoon temperatures through the weekend should soar into the middle to upper 90s. Heat index values will climb close to 105.
