Two rounds of rain are likely - one on Tuesday afternoon and another on Wednesday morning. Both will bring a few heavy downpours and a strong storm will be possible, especially farther north and northeast of Houston. Total rainfall should range from 1-2" north of I-10, with rain less than 1" south of I-10.

After seven straight days with highs in the 80s, the pattern has finally broken as the first of a few cold fronts has arrived. Although no extreme cold is expected, the combination of clouds, rain and shifting winds should bring temperatures closer to normal for February. Highs will range from near 70 Tuesday, middle to upper 70s Wednesday and back to the 50s by Thursday.
