Federal prosecutors petition for Attorney General William Barr to step down

More than 2,000 current and former federal prosecutors around the country have signed a petition asking Attorney General WIlliam Barr to resign or be removed from office. This is after Barr asked the federal courts to reduce the recommended sentence of Roger Stone. Stone is a friend of President Trump and political consultant. He was convicted of witness tampering and lying to investigators during the Mueller investigation. When the federal prosecutors in the court recommended Stone serve 9 years on his convictions the president got involved. He tweeted 9 years was way too much. Then Barr recommended the sentence be reduced, contradicting his own prosecutors and upsetting the legal community. Former Federal Prosecutor Phil Hilder also signed the letter and joins Isiah Carey to discuss why.

To celebrate Black History Month, Isiah Carey has been sharing inventors who are responsible for making our everyday lives easier. Today he highlights the Davidson sisters. Together, Mary and Mildred Davidson created the toilet paper roll and the sanitary belt which helped women during their time of the month. Mary went on to create several more things including the walker -- which helped with her "multiple sclerosis." The sisters never became rich off their products and several were never even made because companies refused to work with Black women.
