Family leaves cabin after racist sign is left on porch
video

Isiah Carey speaks with Kevin Burrell who says his family packed up and left 7A Ranch in Wimberly, Tx after a racist sign was left on their porch. 7A Ranch gave Fox 26 the following statement. "All of us at 7A Ranch were angry, horrified, and sickened by the incident that occurred early morning on June 20 to our guests. We have limited surveillance video that shows an individual entering our property from a public road and then exiting on foot on the same road. Unfortunately, we cannot make out the individual. This incident struck us to the core. It is clear our community must do more to root out intolerance and bigotry. We welcome the African-American community to 7A. Our offerings include individual cabins, as well as lodges and larger cabins for extended families and family reunions. During these difficult times, we believe our natural setting on the Blanco River is an ideal place for all to get out of the city, relax, and be with family and friends while properly social distancing, of course. We hope that we can build trust within the African-American community that 7A and Wimberley are open for their business."
