HOUSTON (FOX 26) - President Donald Trump threatened on Friday to slap tariffs on the full $500 billion worth of Chinese exports to the U.S. market. That would be just under 15 times the current level of $34 billion. The President says China has been “ripping us off” for too long and he intends to stop it. Critics say this weaponization of trade policy amounts to a cure that’s far worse than the ailment.
