Shelter-in-place for neighborhood in La Marque cleared following major natural gas leak

A shelter-in-place has been lifted for a neighborhood in La Marque due to a major gas leak, officials said.

What we know:

According to the La Marque Fire Department, the major natural gas leak is in the area of Duroux. 

Officials said for public safety, Duroux was closed at the Circle Drive and McKinney Extension, affecting the 300-500 block of Duroux. 

All roadways affected by the shelter in place has been reopened and residents and businesses can return to normal activities.
