Montgomery County arrest: David Roberto Gonzalez charged with sexual assault of a child

A man accused of having sexual relations with a juvenile in exchange for money has been arrested, Montgomery County authorities say.

According to the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office, David Roberto Gonzalez has been charged with sexual assault of a child following an investigation this week.

During the investigation, the constable’s office says they learned that the suspect had met with the juvenile victim at a park in The Woodlands to engage in sexual acts in exchange for money on multiple occasions.

Detectives posed as the juvenile victim online, and the suspect made arrangements to meet with them, the constable’s office says. He also allegedly attempted to solicit sexual acts with additional juveniles and the undercover detective.

Authorities identified the suspect as Gonzalez and obtained a search warrant for his home. He was taken into custody, and his bond was set at $150,000.

According to the constable’s office, he was also found to be in possession of child sexual assault material on his electronic devices, and additional charges are pending.
