Memphis Zoo sloth makes snacking look extra cute

Lua, a Linné’s two-toed sloth, is settling in nicely to her new exhibit at the Memphis Zoo in Memphis, Tennessee.

In a video posted on January 5, Lua can be found snacking away on a carrot, one day after her exhibit debut was announced.

The sloth was born in March 2017 and introduced by the zoo in April. Her parents are Marilyn and Sparky, and she was the first successful Linné’s two-toed sloth birth at the zoo.

The sloths are also known as Linnaeus’ two-toed sloth, southern sloth, or unau.
