Man wanted for allegedly setting dog on fire in Crosby arrested

A man wanted for allegedly setting a dog on fire in Crosby was arrested at his home by Harris County deputies on Tuesday.

The incident took place last month in Crosby when Jerome Lockett and Edwin Jermaine Stewart got into a fight following an argument. On November 16, Stewart allegedly went to Lockett's home and doused the dog house and 5-year-old Truck with gasoline before setting it on fire.

All that remains are ashes where the house once stood and charred chains that Truck was tied to. Truck received burns to 60 percent of his body. The once playful bully mix, now timid around strangers, but thankfully expected to make a full recovery.

Stewart is no stranger to the law, he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon back in 1997. Stewart was charged with cruelty to a non-live stock animal.
