Human trafficking victim sues website, hotels, truck stops

A new lawsuit has been filed against Backpage.com and several other businesses accusing them of online child sex trafficking.

Back in 2014, the plaintiff identified as “Jane Doe", who was 15 years old at the time, says she was trafficked through Backpage.com and taken to major hotels and truck stops in Houston to meet with several men. The lawsuit claims the website enabled child sex trafficking while the hotel and truck stop chains did little to stop it. The website and its executives including the CEO are also accused of cleaning up or sanitizing adult ads for sex to conceal the victimization of children.

The attorney who filed this lawsuit, Annie McAdams, is on the Factor with more.
