HPD: Drivers arrested after one beats the other for drunk driving crash

A suspected drunk driver and the man police say he crashed into both ended up in jail early Sunday morning.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on I-10 near Crockett. Houston police say the driver of a white car slammed into the back end of a red car causing both to spin and land of the feeder. Police say the driver of the red car got out his car and beat up the driver of the white car.

After treating the alleged intoxicated driver at the scene for his assault injuries, police arrested both drivers. The driver of the red car was arrested for assault, and the driver of the white car was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence .
