HOLA HOUSTON | American Heart Association

The American Heart Association wants to help everyone live longer, healthier lives so they can enjoy all of life’s precious moments. And we know that starts with taking care of your health. American Heart Month, a federally designated event, is a great way to remind Americans to focus on their hearts and encourage them to get their families, friends and communities involved. Together, we can build a culture of health where making the healthy choice is the easy choice.  Why? Because Life is Why.

American Heart Association is working in the community with other organizations, such as BakerRipley, to bring information and awareness to our communities to improve heart health.

National Wear Red Day

American Heart Association is also kicking off National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 2nd. It is a massive national public awareness day the first Friday each February, urging women, people from all walks of life, businesses, towns, schools, the media, buildings and landmarks to “go red” and “glow red” to bring attention to the leading killers of women – heart disease and stroke.  On February 2, help us turn America RED and SAVE WOMEN’S LIVES from heart disease and stroke by wearing something red … a red dress, tie, jacket, scarf, hat, blouse or shirt.  Go Red For Women and show your commitment to reducing risk, improving health, and saving women’s lives.
