Firefighter delivers hundreds of pounds of clothing to Belize
EAST POINT, Ga. - An East Point firefighter has not forgotten where he has come from and is helping the people of his home country of Belize.
Firefighter Krishna Craig serves the East Point community as a firefighter but also serves his home country sending home donations at least twice a year.
Craig returned from an eight-day trip delivering about 869 pounds of clothes and shoes. With Craig’s previous trip, he has sent more than a thousand pounds of donated items and isn’t stopping.
Craig said it all started when he went to an area community yard sale. He said he noticed how cheap he could get gently used items and felt like he could do something good.
