Movie goers planning to attend the Worldfest Houston film festival can expect to be one movie short, as our city has banned one of the film from being shown.

"Vaxxed!" is a documentary about an alleged cover up by the Center for Disease Control when a 2004 study found a link between the measles, mumps, rubella vaccine and autism and how that may have led to an increase of autism in our country.

A spokesperson for Mayor Turner says the documentary was removed from the film festival line up because it was found "inappropriate for the city to endorse an event that would be screening a film that is counter to the city's efforts to ensure children receive vaccinations."

Leslie Phillips of the National Autism Board says this film should not be kept from the public.

"To censor a movie that is the admission of the senior sitting scientist at the CDC that they've been lying is completely unacceptable," she said.
