Deadly shooting at Baytown apartment complex

BAYTOWN, Texas (FOX 26) - Police are investigating a reported shooting at an an apartment complex in Baytown that left one person dead. Officers are treating the case as a homicide, according to Baytown Police Department Assistant Chief Roger Clifford. The shooting was reported at the Laguna Azul apartment complex on Northwood Street near Garth Road.

Officers found the body of an 18-year-old male on the ground outside one of the apartment buildings. The preliminary investigation indicates he was shot at least once. Police have detained five males who were in the immediate area when the shooting was reported.
