HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Harris County Commissioners will soon decide what to do with the Astrodome. They will vote on a $105 million renovation project on Tuesday.
The plan includes raising the ground floor of the Astrodome making room for 1,400 parking spaces. Above that, the refurbished dome would have more than 500,000 square feet of rentable space.
The county judge says people from all over the world have shown interest in using that space for conventions and conferences.
