Car crashes into family home, man killed by girlfriend and a shooting at a nightclub

HOUSTON (FOX26) - A man is dead after crashing his car into a home in Channelview. This happened just before 1:00 a.m. on Bear Bayou Drive.

Harris County deputies say the man was speeding when he lost control of his car.

 The car went across a driveway, over a ditch and into a front yard. It hit a tree, spun around and then crashed into the side of the bedroom of the house, where a family was sleeping.

Their conditions are not known at this time. Deputies say there were no immediate signs of alcohol from the driver.

Also new, a man is dead after investigators say his girlfriend shot and killed him, but she may not be facing any changes in his death. This happened overnight on West Warrington Way in northeast Harris County

Deputies say the couple got into a fight and the woman told detectives she shot the boyfriend in self-defense. She was brought down to homicide headquarters for an interview.

 A customer at a nightclub ended up shot after police say he tried to run over a security guard

This happened on the East Freeway at North Wayside. Officers say the customer was drunk and got into a fight when he was asked to leave.

The guard shot him when he feared for his own safety.

He's in the hospital in serious but stable condition.
