Big rig falls off overpass on Hwy 59 in Sugar Land
SUGAR LAND, Texas (FOX 26) - Emergency crews are on the scene of a big rig accident in Sugar Land.
The 18-wheeler flipped off Hwy 59 at University Blvd, landing on a passenger vehicle on the frontage road below.
Some debris also hit a second vehicle on the frontage road.
At least two patients were transported to a nearby hospital.
Shockingly, the driver of the 18-wheeler was able to crawl out with minor injuries.
Three main lanes of Hwy 59 southbound are open.
University Blvd is expected to be closed for a few hours.
