Armored car driver shot in robbery near Bank of America

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police are investigating the robbery of an armored car outside a Bank of America branch in northwest Houston. The driver of the armored car was wounded after gunshots were fired. The robbery was reported at around 2:20 p.m. Friday at the branch on North Shepherd Drive near West Tidwell Road. 

The man who fired the gun ran into a blue vehicle behind the bank building and traveled away from the crime scene. Despite the shooting, no money was taken from the armored car.
