Saharan dust continues to mix in some drier air in the atmosphere hindering tropical development in the Atlantic. Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean remain quiet as well with no tropical cyclone formation expected over the next 7 days. There are a few disturbances to monitor in the eastern Pacific though. Once has a high chance to become a tropical depression south of the SW Mexican coast over the next week.

All is quiet in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean & Atlantic with no tropical cyclone formation expected over the next 7 days. However, there's a 60 % chance for a tropical depression to develop in the eastern Pacific over the next 7 days. The area of concern is off of the SW Mexican coast. The most active part of hurricane season has not arrived. It's usually in August and September. So stay alert and review your hurricane plan with your family while things are quiet.
