Brace yourself. We do have some cold air coming our way to wrap up 2023 and even to start the new year. Look for some mostly sunny, clear, and cool afternoons. You will see lots of 50s and some 60s across the area, but the real story is the overnight low temperatures, which will likely flirt with freezing for several nights, beginning Wednesday night all the way through the morning of New Year?s Eve. So far, it looks like some light rain is possible for January 1st.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you! The rest of Christmas Day should be fantastic weather-wise with lots of sunshine and no chance of rain! Grab your jackets and coats for evening and late night plans as temperatures will dip to near 40 in Houston and fall to the 30s for some spots just outside of Houston! Next few days will be mostly sunny and dry with highs near 60 Tuesday and temperatures climbing to the middle 60s Wednesday afternoon. Another cold front that drops in Wednesday will bring a chill to wrap up the week but no major clouds or rain. The next system that could bring us rain arrives for the holiday weekend as we get ready to welcome 2024. But rain chances are low for now and hopefully they will stay that way!

Merry Christmas! We start the holiday on a chilly note. Our latest front moved through the region ushering in this cooler air. Forecast highs today will stay in the upper-50s with clear and dry skies. Breezes out of the northwest at 10-15 mph, gusts up to 25. Wake up temperatures this week will be dipping into the 30s.
