Expect off and on rain Tuesday with the highest risk for heavy rain in north Houston. A flood watch is in effect through at least midnight as we have two more days of rainy and foggy weather. A round of heavy rain and potentially severe storms is expected from very early Wednesday morning through the afternoon. Further flood advisories are likely to be issued by late today.

We are in for two more days of rainy, cloudy, foggy weather. Expect off and on rain today with the highest risk for heavy rain north of Houston where a flood watch in in effect through at least midnight. A round of heavy rain and potential severe storms is expected from very early Wednesday morning through the afternoon. Further flood advisories are likely to be issued by late today. FOX 26 Houston Weather: Several rounds of rain remain

Widespread rain totals around 1-4 inches were reported today across SE Texas with totals closer to 4" for Huntsville, Columbus & Brenham. Houston has been in the 1-2" range. The problem is that more disturbances will pull up additional moisture bringing more rounds of heavy rain for Tuesday and Wednesday. We remain in a slight risk for street flooding the next few days along with a low marginal risk for a few strong to severe storms. An additional 1-5" of rain could fall for parts of the area through Thursday so you will want to watch for flooded streets and avoid any that you see. Scattered showers linger Thursday and Friday with rain expected to wind down on Saturday leaving us with a sunny and dry Sunday.
