Look for Thursday to be a bit breezy but lots of sunshine ends the workweek. If you have been wanting even colder temperatures, there looks to be a more impactful front late next week. Much of Houston could see temps drop into the 40s with chilly conditions for multiple days. We are also still watching the tropics. The tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea has now been labeled as Invest 99L by the National Hurricane Center. This will likely become a named storm by the end of the week. It will bring heavy rain to parts of Central America but could also make a track back to the North.

In the tropics, we'll very likely end up with another named system in the Caribbean Sea near Central America by this weekend. The next name on the list is Sara which would make the 18th tropical storm to form this season. Of those, so far 11 have become hurricanes and 5 of those major hurricanes.
