Good Tuesday morning, everyone. After a round of hazardous fog this morning, today will be warm again. Temperatures will get close to the record high of 82? and there is a chance for a couple of afternoon showers or storms. Wednesday will bring a cold front and a broken line of storms followed by much cooler and drier air. Expect chilly mornings and cool, dry days from Tuesday through Sunday. It's possible there may be a few frosty spots on Saturday and Sunday mornings for areas north of Houston. So far, Christmas looks mild/warm with likely temps in the 70s. A south breeze should return by then along with higher humidity.

Scattered showers and storms impacted parts of Southeast Texas today, with the majority of the heavy rain and storm action staying just north of Houston. Look for coverage of showers and storms to decrease tonight with just isolated rain possible. There will be plenty of dry time for Sunday Texans tailgating and holiday plans with only a 20% chance for rain. We will keep a 30% chance for spotty rain in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday, with a better shot for showers and storms Wednesday. Plan on it feeling more like spring instead of December with high temperatures staying in the 70s through Wednesday. Cold front should finally make it into the Houston area Wednesday night, causing causing much cooler air to build in late next week. FOX 26 Meteorologist Allison Gargaro has an update on what you can expect for rain in the Houston-area and what the weather locks like in the next couple of days.

Warm weather is on the way this weekend. Highs will likely soar to the mid/upper 70s. Passing showers and isolated storms are possible today, mainly north of I-10. No severe weather is expected, but keep an eye out for lightning. Fog is likely across Southeast Texas on Sunday morning. Rain chances are slightly lower Sunday before they pick back up early next week. It doesn?t look like we will have a strong enough front to sweep across the region until the middle of next week. We are speeding through this holiday season and another weekend is upon us. The recent freezing temperatures north of Houston are long gone as southeasterly flow has brought in warmer air. Look for some fog, more clouds and spotty light showers this evening with overnight low temperatures in the 60s. Saturday will feature more clouds than sun along with a 50% chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms. Severe weather is not expected. But watch out for a few brief, heavy downpours and a bit of lightning. Rain chances drop to 20% for Sunday, which means mainly dry weather for Texans tailgating. Keep the umbrellas close because rain chances increase once again on Monday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures stay several degrees above normal through Monday, with cooler weather gradually pushing back into the Houston area by the middle and end of next week.
