Tropical Depression #3 has become our next named storm, Chantal. Tropical Storm Chantal is expected to make landfall as a weak tropical storm late tonight into early Sunday along the Carolina coast. Tropical storm warnings are now out for parts of the Carolina coast, including Myrtle Beach. Heavy rain for the Carolinas will be the biggest threat, along with some gusty wind and big waves at the beach. This system will have no impacts on Texas and the rest of the Atlantic basin remains quiet at this time.
