Melissa Lucio is set to be executed next month for her 2-year-old daughter?s death 15 years ago. Many in the case believe she was coerced into a false confession by Harlingen-area law enforcement. Governor Greg Abbott is aware of Lucio?s case and at least one lawmaker says he believes he will do the right thing.

That commission came back with results that appear to have never been used to form any kind of policy. It found that small amounts of cannabis did no harm to society and recommended against jail time. 50 years later, the report is still cited as a reason to legalize marijuana on a federal level. Officials with the Marijuana Policy Project, who dedicate their time to pushing for marijuana legislation, speaks to Isiah about reasons why marijuana remains illegal.
