Missing pregnant Houston woman Ashanti Allen found dead, family confirms

HOUSTON - Family says a missing pregnant woman who was last seen nearly a week ago has been found dead.

Ashanti Allen, 23, was last seen on Friday leaving her home near McNee Road and Main Street.

Police confirmed a body was found on Chimney Rock Road near the intersection of Gasmer Drive at Chimney Rock Park on Thursday.

Her family at the scene confirmed that it was Ashanti.

Ashtanti was eight months pregnant and experiencing a high-risk pregnancy at the time of her disappearance, police say.
