3 women charged in Harris County retail theft ring, allegedly stole $30,000 in merchandise

Three women were arrested for their involvement in multiple thefts at retail stores across the Houston-area, according to Harris County authorities.

Three women accused in $30,000 merchandise thefts

The backstory:

Constable Mark Herman reported deputies were called to The Children's Place on the North Freeway about a theft on July 26. Three suspects had returned to the area after previously being connected to a retail theft.

The deputies say they found the suspect's vehicle nearby, and were able to identify the three as Jo-Lisa Tiagon, Tatyana Robinson, and Lamaya Starks.

When the vehicle was searched, deputies found stolen merchandise. Officials say there was $1,198 in stolen merchandise from The Children’s Place and $4,013 in stolen merchandise from Bath & Body Works.

After investigating, officials learned the three women had allegedly committed two other thefts the day before, stealing $1,742.80 worth of candles and 112 candles worth $3,018.40 in a second visit.

According to reports from store officials, Tiagon, Robinson, and Starks are accused of stealing around $30,000 in merchandise through multiple thefts.

Constable Mark Herman stated all three were charged with organized retail theft. Williams' and Starks' bonds were set at $5,000, and Robinson's bond was set at $15,000.
